It’s feels like ages since I done any CD packaging but we’re back in business with this album from The Holloway Echoes which has just been signed off ready for the pressing plant for Western Star featuring Pat Winn and Alan Wilson looking sharp!
Retrobaits are “All Systems Go” !!!
I absolutely love the illustration work The Retrobaits provided for this new album about to be released on the Western Star label. My involvement in the packaging for this one was relatively minor (as opposed to the relative minor which is always a lovely chord to drop in for effect!) mainly knocking supplied artwork into the required formats for the pressing plant and making sure colours will reproduce well across the the differing print processes used for the final product.
I love how tight and neo-rockabilly this band are with very clean production, they often remind me of those fantastic neo-rockabilly bands I grew up on like Restless and The Nitros .
New Delta 88 “Firefly” CD packaging completed
Good God it’s been busy on the run up to Christmas. Another new Western Star CD album packaging just signed off. Another great rockabilly band “Delta 88” have already released an album and a vinyl EP on the Western Start label over the years. This one features the gorgeous Betty Brosmer on the cover.
The Deadshots “WANTED” CD packaging completed
Artwork for another new band, “The Deadshots”, on the Western Star label just whizzed off to the pressing plant like a proverbial magic reindeer on Christmas eve. I’m told this is a hard hitting rockabilly band in the same vein as band such as “Jack Rabbit Slim” and “The Bullets” so not much to live up to there then! I know it’ll be stomping as Western Star keep all their production in-house for the whole process from recording the first track to delivering the final product and they don’t do half measures
A bit of rock ‘n’ roll illustration work for new CD
Having fun with “Illustrator” for the illustrations and design of the new Western Star records release. A compilation of 25 tracks of rare and unreleased recordings from Western Star Recording Studio called “Rockin’ at The Lost & Found”. You can’t beat a bit of pink ‘n’ black for a rockabilly record cover!!!!
