Design & artwork for print in Norfolk
We’re an independent record label based in the UK born out of years of DJ work on the Rockin’ scene. That was with The Wild Wax Show, described by Mark Lamarr as “The epicentre of where rock’n’roll lived”. We like to think of ourselves as the future of Rock’n’roll, Rockabilly, Psychobilly or whatever you wanna call it.
I absolutely love the illustration work The Retrobaits provided for this new album about to be released on the Western Star label. My involvement in the packaging for this one was relatively minor (as opposed to the relative minor which is always a lovely chord to drop in for effect!) mainly knocking supplied artwork into the required formats for the pressing plant and making sure colours will reproduce well across the the differing print processes used for the final product.
I love how tight and neo-rockabilly this band are with very clean production, they often remind me of those fantastic neo-rockabilly bands I grew up on like Restless and The Nitros .
