I Finally got around to doing something today that I keep putting off but is really quite essential; my “Website Examples” page on my business website. It’s been a lot of hard work and I set myself the goal of listing 100 websites I have created along with preview pictures and links. When I counted up I had actually listed 103. For each one of these websites there is probably another one I have forgotten about (as it’s hosted elsewhere) or has been upgraded or just deleted as businesses come and go. After 17 years you work on a lot of different jobs and systems, some not even public. It’s a great feeling to know you have worked in partnership with other companies consistently for many, many years. In web design one of the biggest concerns I hear is; “if I ask you to look after my website, how do I know you’ll still be able to look after it in 10 years time?”. It’s all about customer confidence. Of course nobody can say for sure what’s round the corner but you can look at the history of a business or tradesman to get a feel for their reliability and loyalty.
